Jim Mathieu is a retired Lieutenant Commander in the United States Coast Guard and a proud “Mustang” officer who rose through the ranks over a distinguished 28-year career. He served aboard six cutters and at three operational groups, ultimately leading the world’s largest and busiest Coast Guard station. Now a debut author, Mathieu brings his deep-rooted knowledge of leadership, followership, and maritime operations to life in his first book, Surfside Six, A Race to the Sand.
